What is a skin peel?
 A skin peel is a regenerating technique

Peels can be used to treat a wide variety of skin conditions such as pigmentation, acne, scarring, fine lines & dehydration.

How does it work?
In our peels we use natural botanical extracts (Alpha Hydroxy Acids or AHA's) combined with state of the art ingredients so they are extremely effective but less irritating then the deeper peels.

AHA's are found naturally in food products and include
lactic acid, citric acid and glycolic acid.
These acids accelerates the skin's natural exfoliation process.
This creates a denser, tighter skin cell composition & stimulates more rapid growth of new skin cells, which are softer
and more hydrated.
As a bonus, skin free from dead skin cells can more effectively absorb products applied to the skin!

The peel itself is applied to the skin in a thin layer, like a mask and stays on the skin for a maximum of 2 minutes.  

How does it feel?
Most individuals experience a mild prickling sensation during the treatment.
ONLY YOURx is a non-traumatic peel system with no recovery time.


How many treatments will I need?
ONLY YOURx recommends a series of six treatments at weekly or bi-weekly intervals, followed by a monthly maintenance treatment.
Because each Corrective Treatment is geared exactly to your needs, you will see continued improvement with each treatment!

Who can have the treatment?
ONLY YOURx peels are suitable for most skin conditions. After a thorough consultation with a qualified therapist, the treatment is custom blended to target your skin concerns

For men
We are also excited to offer a specialized peel for men- The Rapid power peel which can be used for face and back on problematic skin.

 
Aftercare
No Glycolic, Lactic, Salicylic, Retinol or Benzoyl peroxide 24 hours post peel.

Avoid swimming in chlorinated water for 24 hours.

Avoid excessive heat for 24 hours. No sauna, steam or strenuous exercise.

No abrasive products, such as scrubs for 24 hours.

No waxing, IPL, laser, sunbed/bathing or Microdermabrasion for 1 week post peel

SPF MUST be worn after a peel.

Mild flaking or sloughing is perfectly normal after a peel and may be experienced 2-3 days after.

Note: the back of the hands can be included in the treatment at no extra cost if the client wishes.
